Multi Coloured Nails – The indecisive girls fashion fix
Lately i've been noticing the rise of the multi coloured nails. Now don't get me wrong I often notice trends popping up every now and again but I have learnt the hard way that it is sometimes best to let these trends pass you by on their way to style town. For example the headband come flower clip combo that seemed to be everywhere, it consisted of an artificial flower glued onto an elastic headband which now when I think back was actually not very complicated but when I wondered in to Accessorize on my lunch I decided that I had to have one and by having one I would some how become some pixie, bohemian style icon. Skip 4 hours to me trying it on in my bedroom mirror only to discover I actually looked like an Easter egg or worse a disheveled nursery child! No I learnt then that it may look good on the girl sitting next to you on the bus but the likely hood is you will look like a fool!
So you can imagine when I saw the new nail trend I acknowledged it with approval then quickly did nothing to recreate it on myself. It wasn't until I was painstakingly trying to decide which nail color to wear when my boyfriend asked why I just didn't wear them all. It was like a child being told to just eat all the pick an mix, why not, knock yourself out......so I did and played it safe with just pink and blue. The next night I progressed onto purple, orange and pink and I fear it wont stop there! by the end of the week I will have a different color for each nail.
Some of my favorites that I've seen so far are:
Obviously the lovely Lauren Conrad with the two tone look!

The fab Caggie Dunlop from Made in Chelsea with pastel color

Pixie Lott with these lovely bright pinkies!
So needless to say I think multi coloured nails will be around for a while to come. My advice is have some fun and this way you get to be indecisive and spoilt all at once! : ) x
H&M – How Much Sorry??
Due to the fact that I am saving for a holiday, a house and to pay back my credit card I’ve not really been shopping in a while and the main reason for this is it’s too hard to walk away when I find something I love! This is exactly what happened when I allowed myself to purchase a gorgeous denim jacket from H&M (my new favourite shop for cheap, but amazing clothes!) see for yourself http://www.hm.com/gb/
The plan to walk in buy my jacket and walk out failed miserably when I glanced at the rail next to me while queuing for the till (I knew as soon as I done it I was making a huge mistake!) I was going strong until a passer by asked for the time and I became distracted..... that was it I caved and saw the cutest summer dress and my first find of the season!

I picked out my size and handed my card to the cashier! In my defence this was a month ago and I am yet to step foot in H&M again, well a quick glance on Saturday hardly counts! I am slightly obsessed with their website and have found some great finds for my holiday. I though it only fair to share this with you happy shopping!!
What Goes Around Comes Around….
When I say this I don’t mean in a karma way (although I do believe in that too!) this for me is about the style revolving door. Let me explain…. When I was young I would always hear my mum say things like “oh I had a pair of those in the 80s” and “I’ve still got one of those in my wardrobe” for years I was baffled as to what she was going on about until a few years ago and I noticed the style trends that kept reappearing! At the age of 22 I can’t say I’ve graced this earth long enough to see the beginning of trends but I am here to see their return. From pedal pushers to denim jackets, style for the decades kept reappearing and I found myself saying those infamous words “oh that’s back in now?”
My earliest memory of styles making a reappearance was the leather jacket trend. Now I’m not talking about any leather jacket, I’m talking the coloured leather jacket!! I was 10 years old and shopping with my mum for my school disco outfit (at the age of 10 this was on the same scale as Kate Middleton shopping for her wedding dress!) it had to be perfect. I had the outfit I just need the jacket and as I stepped into Tammy Girl I saw it…..on the far wall there it was a metallic pink leather jacket! I was sold! I begged my mum to buy me it promising to wear it all the time and how much of my wardrobe it would go with. It worked she bought me it and I sat on the bus the whole way home taking peaks at it every few minutes. Disco day couldn’t come quick enough and as I pulled on that leather jacket I felt like Sandy from Grease except minus the big hair, black skin tight leggings and cigarette hanging from my lips! But I’ll never forget that leather jacket. I still think of it and giggle when I see a spread in Glamour or Cosmo with a leather jacket feature.
If I’ve learnt anything from my fashion past it would be…. it’s rare to be able to pull off a trend and look good in it and I fear my pink leather jacket wasn’t my finest fashion choice! But for that night I felt like I’d done it and I think the 10 year old in me still always wishes she kept that jacket! x
